Janice Woychik Realtor
1600 E. Franklin St. Chapel Hill, NC
As an trailing spouse I have relocated many times throughout the country,
buying and selling in all market conditions. I have developed principles to
buy and sell in a very short period of time. Let me help you buy or sell
your house; I can do it efficiently. If you are planning to relocate to
Chapel Hill NC I can help make this community your home. I can help your
family put down roots quickly to minimize the confusion and jolt of a move.
Downtown chapel Hill is becoming a destination hot-spot. If you are
interested in living near Franklin Street, in the center of our
entertainment and restaurant district, you need to search for a Chapel Hill
NC condo. Imagine stepping out of your home and walking to shops, dining,
theater, lectures and free city bus service. New condos and even some
condos built within the last 20 years are available close to downtown or
on a bus line.
I have interacted with physicians, academics and corporate officers as well
as their families as my husband and I held jobs in academia, medical
centers, non-profits and the corporate world. In an earlier career I have
counseled many working families.
I am a native New Yorker, raised in Manhattan north of the Cloisters and I
went to public schools.
I earned my BA in Anthropology at the State University of Albany in 1973.
I earned my MSW from the University of Michigan in 1977 and worked in that
field for 20 years specializing in developing Employee Assistance Programs
(worksite counseling programs) in a small consulting firm and at the
University of Tennessee Medical Center. I also worked at University
Hospitals of Cleveland in the anxiety disorders clinic, helping individuals
conquer their anxiety.
Along with my husband (a genetics researcher and former CEO) I have
relocated nationally buying and selling over the past 30 years. I have
bought homes, an undeveloped lot, built a house and developed a real estate
investment business. I have owned homes in the following states:
Tennessee, Ohio, Massachusetts, California, Maine and here in North
Carolina. I own rental property and a vacation rental. If beginning a
real estate investment business is something you are interested in, we can
talk about how to go about it and how to get support for your business.
I have a son, age 23 and family members all over the country who I get to
see from time to time in New Jersey, Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida, Georgia,
Missouri, California, Washington. Between family, friends, and just
curiosity, I probably have visited the state you call home. I have
traveled in North America (including Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean),
Europe (United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Czech Republic) the middle
east (Turkey and Israel) and Asia (China, Hong Kong, Japan, the
I am grateful that I have landed here in the Research Triangle area. There
is so much to do and enjoy: culture, college and pro sports, natural
resources, great restaurants and farmers' markets, water sports thanks to
our local lakes and great educational opportunities no matter your age. I
have enjoyed going to concerts, shows, art events, ballroom dancing, Mah
Jongg games, and have kayaked, hiked and biked. International restaurants
are terrific here. Folks here value education, participation, and
volunteering. I have volunteered at the senior college, Porch (food
distribution to low income families) and community centers. The Research
Triangle is a vibrant, educated and froward-thinking community that
